# ImageConverter.me: Free, Private Image Converter

> Convert supported images in your browser without an account or server-side image uploads.

## Current capabilities

- Convert JPG, PNG, and WebP images to JPG, PNG, or WebP.
- Add up to 20 images per batch.
- Maximum input size: 20 MB per image and 100 MB total per batch.
- Choose output quality for lossy JPG and WebP output.
- Optionally request a target output size for JPG and WebP; an exact size is not guaranteed.
- Process one image at a time in a dedicated browser worker to keep the interface responsive.
- Verify encoded output before making it available to download.

## Privacy and limits

Images are processed locally in the browser. The current tool does not require an account and does not send images to a conversion server. Supported formats are limited to JPG, PNG, and WebP. AVIF and HEIC conversion are not currently available. ImageConverter.me is not currently a standalone image-compression tool.

## How to use the converter

1. Choose an output format: JPG, PNG, or WebP.
2. Drag images into the upload area or choose files from your device.
3. Optionally open Output settings to set quality or a target size where supported.
4. Convert the batch and download each verified result.
